Luna Ray Canter
As an advocate for wellness and spiritual growth, Luna works with the deep intention of inspiring and encouraging humans to cultivate an awareness of their inherent wisdom. She believes that by coming together, and using the tools of yoga and somatics, including mantra and meditation, we are led to our hearts deep desires, and we build the strength to act upon them.
Luna is ERYT-200 Yoga Certified, is PSEP (Somatic Experience Practitioner) certified, and has a BA degree in Community Studies. She is the co-founder of True Nature Education, and has recorded, and co-produced three albums that feature nationally known artists including, Wah!, Girish, and David Newman. Luna has traveled and taught extensively throughout the world weaving ancient yoga tradition, and heartfelt music and mantra to deeply touch the souls of many. She currently resides in the Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina with her two young daughters, and her husband Joshua.
Luna has been a student and practitioner of yoga, mantra, music and meditation for the past 25 years, and a teacher for over 15 years. She has studied with various teachers who have influenced her work including Rod Stryker, Russill Paul, Rama Jyotir Vernon, Shiva Rae, and Peter Levine.
Luna is currently offering a variety of local yoga classes, workshops, and retreats, leading on-going Bhakti Immersions for Women, teaching Modules in 200 and 500 hour trainings in the east and mid-western US, offering Somatic Experiencing Sessions, and personally mentoring yoga and music students (adults and children). She is occasionally leading kirtan, and offering music within yoga classes at yoga festivals and in studios in the eastern U.S.
