Scholarships at Asheville Yoga Center

*Please note that we have a limited number of scholarships available. Early application is highly recommended to ensure that you will know if you scholarship application has been accepted for the training you wish to enroll in.

Diversity Scholarships For Black, Indigenous, People Of Color, and LGBTQIA+

The diversity scholarships dedicated for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks are one small way Asheville Yoga Center seeks to contribute to the movement against systemic racism, and the hope to create more diversity in the fields of self-care, wellness, and yoga. Our intention is to support the training of more yoga teachers of color who feel inspired to share the many gifts and benefits of yoga with the community, creating greater diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

The requirements in exchange for the scholarship are:

• Have the intention to teach yoga after the program is complete

• Fully participate in the program, and complete all required work to receive the certificate

This scholarship covers 40% of tuition with the option of a monthly payment plan to pay the remaining balance. Please review cancellation policy and terms here.

Scholarships at AyurPrana Asheville Yoga Center are available to BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ Folks.
The scholarship supports tuition for Yoga Teacher Training at Asheville Yoga Center. Housing, books, transportation, accommodation, and living expenses are not included.
Scholarships cannot be stacked with other scholarships from AYC or our work-study program.

Workshop Scholarships

If you are on a limited income, a current student, temporarily unemployed, single parent or have other financial limitations, you may apply for financial assistance to attend our workshops.

Work Study Opportunities

The AyurPrana Asheville Yoga Center’s work-study program is for people who are passionate about yoga and want to be more involved in the AYC community. Options include cleaning shifts and/or marketing support shifts.

Cleaning work study

Our cleaning work study requires cleaning up before and after each day of your training.

Work/Study duties for Check-In shifts include:

Coming to the studio 30 minutes before start time to tidy the studio (sweeping floors, checking bathroom, arranging props, folding blankets, prepping the teacher’s space, and setting the thermostat), and staying 30 minutes after to tidy up as well.
Making sure the reception area and entrance are clean and welcoming.

This scholarship covers 30% of tuition.

Marketing work study

Our marketing work study is an opportunity to create content around your yoga teacher training journey! This position is designed for folks who are passionate about storytelling and requires taking photographs, capturing content for social media, the website, and collecting testimonials of your fellow students during the training.

Marketing work/study duties include:

1 short video (90 seconds) per week for social media
3 testimonials (video format)
2 dozen photos of your classmates and you doing yoga, meditating, practicing together etc.
