The focus on Bhakti, voice, and creating a supportive space and community was transformative for me as an educator, yogi, and human. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to deepen our knowledge and ultimately to empower us to step into our potential as teachers and a community – but also to meet us where we are as individuals who are constantly healing and moving and learning in a changing world.

The class is focused primarily on building the voice of the yoga teacher, our ‘greatest tool’. I couldn’t agree more! This class has changed my whole perspective on life. I came in with a voice that was a whimper, I had a real hard time expressing myself to others. Now I communicate with ease, and I’ve found an inner confidence that I’d never had before. The range of teachers that were cultivated was a thing of divine art! Every weekend there was someone who embodied the theme of the weekend, and had such a great depth of understanding in what they taught. This felt like something created in heaven and played out on earth! If you have an interest in becoming a yoga teacher, deepening your yoga practice, becoming a better leader/person or leading a heart centered life. There is no better place I’d recommend than the Asheville Yoga Center’s Teaching From The Heart Yoga Teacher Training.

I’m blown away by AYC’s Teaching from the Heart program and the care, guidance, and comprehensive curriculum provided by the AYC teachers. In only 4 short weeks in the immersion program, I was provided a framework to cue proper alignment for a mixed-level vinyasa flow class and given the tools to lead pranayama breathwork and mantras. This fantastic experience was end-capped by my time with my fellow yogi/yogini students who will always have a piece of my heart. I am eternally grateful for this transformative learning experience.

AYC has a very unique and special teacher training program. I spent an unforgettable and life changing 4 weeks training under very talented and valuable yoga teachers. At the end of the training I felt like I had more than enough tools in my hand to be a good yoga teacher. I met amazing people during my training and I am thankful for being part of this amazing community. If you are looking for a life changing yoga training program, AYC is the one. I can’t recommend them enough.

The 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Asheville Yoga Center will always be dear to my heart. I was not only equipped with the skills to teach yoga confidently and effectively, but I was also transformed by the abundant wisdom at Asheville Yoga Center and The Ayurvedic Institute. The teachings from this training have become integral to my understanding of yoga and to my personal practice. I found everlasting camaraderie and saṅgha with my cohort as we supported and cherished one another during the incredibly educative experience.  The instructors are experts in the art and science of yoga, highly experienced in teaching, and vastly creative, while also encouraging, patient, and approachable.

After completing the 200 hour training I feel well prepared, eager and confident to begin sharing my love of yoga with others in a professional manner. The breadth of knowledge, experience and skillful personal support combined with the genuine warmth and care offered by the AYC teaching team is truly inspiring and impressive and I feel so fortunate and honored to learn from them.
