    Restorative Yoga and Warm Stones
    with Sara Levine

    Sara LevineAll Levels Welcome
    4:00 – 7:00pm
    $35

Tension, anxiety, nervous energy–call it what you want, but we all need a release from it. Wouldn’t it be nice to have just a few moments of complete and utter relaxation–-freedom from your day-to-day stresses?

In this three hour workshop, you’ll return to balance in your body and find ease in your mind. Prepare to be effortlessly guided through fully-supported deep heart, hip, and back openers while receiving gentle massage. Hot stones are used with gentle massage pressure to melt away tension, stress, aches and pains. Your body’s own healing potential will be restored, allowing your life force to flow more freely. Let your body surrender and your mind quiet. All you need to bring is your body in comfortable clothes and your stresses in a to-go box.

Bio: Sara came to the mat by accident, but once she found it, she never left. She began teaching yoga in 2008 after completing two 200-hour Teacher Trainings in San Francisco. Her inspiration to teach came in the realization that moving on the mat was for her an expression of dance, a place where she felt free, strong, balanced and graceful. To this day, seeing others have this realization is what brings her the greatest joy. Sara also trained in pre & post-natal yoga with Jane Austin and credits her teachers Lauren Slater, Elise Lorimer, Seane Corn, & Janet Stone for her practice.

Join Sean Johnson & The Wild Lotus Band as they play music from their new hit album Unity, recorded right here in Asheville (at Chris Rosser’s Hollow Reed studio and Robert George’s Sound Temple Studio) This dynamic soundtrack for modern yogis and music lovers celebrates the union of diverse spiritual traditions cultures, and musical genres. Ancient mantras are given new voice through soul-drenched songs that merge Rumi poetry with New Orleans-roots, rock, gospel, and world grooves. Unity debuted #1 on the iTunes World Music Chart and #3 on Billboard’s New Age Chart.

Band Bio: For the last decade New Orleans-based Sean Johnson & The Wild Lotus Band(Alvin Young and Gwendolyn Colman) have been reinventing the yoga soundtrack by merging ancient mantras, rock, funk, gospel, and world grooves. Their musically dynamic sound has won over yogis and non-yogis alike and transformed hundreds of yoga studios across America into thriving concert and dance halls. They are a favorite headliner at yoga and music festivals and are the first and only kirtan band to play The New Orleans Jazz Festival, where last year GoNOLA.com named them a top pick for Day 2 of the festival, along with Robert Plant and Phish. Their music has appeared on the Putumayo World Music, Nettwerk Records, Sounds True, and White Swan labels.

“Their album Unity is as important as Krishna Das’s Pilgrim Heart or Jai Uttal’s Shiva Station, expanding and deepening the vision of modern kirtan music.” – Daniel Tucker, Kirtan Central

“A cauldron of simmering, bubbling, delectable chants that bring to mind Grateful Dead jams, a little Santana spice, and an all-around endearing space that draws you in with each listen.” – Common Ground Magazine, San Francisco

“A joy to listen to whether you’re a yogi or anyone who appreciates wildly creative music.” – Yoga Journal

“Their music will ignite the world…a hybrid of East and West that will bring joy to your heart and get your body boogieing.” – Yoga Chicago

“A Sunday-morning gospel-tinged soundtrack for the revival of this century. Merging mantra, frame drum, and world music melodies and rhythms, this is a must-have for your kirtan library.” – LA Yoga Magazine
