Meet our yoga instructors
At Asheville Yoga Center our greatest asset is our people. Our teachers are among Asheville’s brightest and we are lucky enough to have some of the most accomplished yoga teachers in the southeast in residence at our studio. Many of our teachers have trained in the Vinyasa style under Stephanie Keach, while others have pursued training in various modalities ranging from ranging from alignment-based systems to Kundalini. No matter the lineage, AYC teachers are committed to providing a compassionate and informed space where students can find their own balance of effort and ease in the practice.
Alisa lives and teaches from the heart. With intention and mindful compassion, she creates a warm space to explore and connect to the many physical and emotional layers of our Self. Her classes are sequenced to develop strength and flexibility while moving and breathing with awareness.
In 2013, Alisa found her way to yoga while searching for a tool to help her heal both emotionally and physically, reclaim her power, and reconnect to her spirit. She completed her RYT-200, Registered Yoga Teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center and is excited to share her love and experience of yoga as a healing and strengthening practice.
Through yoga, we cultivate an intimate wisdom of our unique bodies and minds so that we may find openings, insights and spaciousness. From here, we have the opportunity to live on and off the mat with authenticity, with wise intention and more deeply connected to our essence.
Alisa welcomes all students, of all levels to explore their own boundaries and experience whatever it is yoga may offer to them. Expect to be challenged, nourished and refreshed!
