Meet our yoga instructors
At Asheville Yoga Center our greatest asset is our people. Our teachers are among Asheville’s brightest and we are lucky enough to have some of the most accomplished yoga teachers in the southeast in residence at our studio. Many of our teachers have trained in the Vinyasa style under Stephanie Keach, while others have pursued training in various modalities ranging from ranging from alignment-based systems to Kundalini. No matter the lineage, AYC teachers are committed to providing a compassionate and informed space where students can find their own balance of effort and ease in the practice.
A practitioner on and off the mat, Rebecca found her way to Asheville after gallivanting up and down the east coast for many moons. Having practiced yoga for nearly fifteen years, Rebecca completed her teacher training program in Tampa, FL with two divine teachers who have since passed. She’s studied under various teachers in the US, Canada and India, and teaches with an open heart, intuitively tailoring classes and workshops for individual and/or group needs.
Whether leading All Levels, Vinyasa or Gentle Restorative, Rebecca’s classes are for everybody, including beginners, advanced practitioners, and anyone open to spiritual, mental and physical healing. Rebecca specializes in practices that foster self-awareness, self-acceptance and empowerment.
When she is not on the mat, Rebecca can be found writing, creating, advocating for social change, soaking up the sun, dancing and laughing. For more on her approach to yoga, life and other adventures, visit www.kaleidoscopeis.blogspot.com.
